Hello to everyone!
It’s a quiet Sunday night. Snuggled up with my daughter on one side and my laptop perched on my legs. And of course the Grammys are on.
I, like the rest of the world, am saddened by the news that Whitney Houston passed away. Listening to her music today on various stations brought back some really fun memories of my teen years. Surprisingly, I knew every word to each song. It hits me once in awhile how much music brings to our lives. How it ties us to memories forever. Quite honestly, there are songs I cannot even listen to because of the pain it makes me feel. And then there are those songs I can put on repeat and not realize that it’s played 25 times in a row. Victoria Banks wrote this beautiful post on her Facebook last night, “Thank you, Whitney Houston, for sharing your gift with a world that took more from you than you could give. May you sing with the angels now”.
November is one of my favourite months of the year to photograph families. I find the light divine and the colours a beautiful combination of taupes and greys. I absolutely loved working with this family (and their incredibly stylish clothing)! I am loving the time I am getting this winter to blog. Each blogpost reminds me how blessed I am to be able to work with simply amazing people.
I look forward to seeing you all again. A year older…and more beautiful:)
