Christmas Mini Sessions!

Hello to everyone!

I am really getting the hang of this new blogging machine! I am thinking that perhaps there might just be hope for me.  And as Sandra Bullock put it last night – you don’t have to be the best to be the best (or something along those lines…). But she is right and she was downright inspiring (and funny) last night on the Golden Globes. She struck a chord in me.  I love life’s little “aha” moments and people and words that inspire.

The photos that I am sharing in today’s post are from my Christmas mini sessions. You will see many of these in the weeks to come. I offered these mini sessions so that parents could get an updated photo of their little ones for their Christmas cards.  What a huge success these sessions were! I will be offering these again – starting in September.  These two beautiful little girls could not have been easier to work with. I sent mom and dad away for a little walk and the girls and I had a super time together!  Enjoy!

You continue to take my breath away with every new post..I’m not sure I have ever seen “Aqua blue” eyes like that. “Beautiful”

Dana Hardy

Fall Session Blogging Begins!

Hello to everyone!
I would like to start by saying thank you to all of my wonderful friends, family, clients and photography friends (both here and abroad!) for visiting my new blog! The comments and e-mail messages have been so positive and heart warming to say the least. The pain in my lower back from sitting at my desk all week feels that much better because of you all!

So, rewind to September of 2009 and that takes us back to this family photosession. The weather was glorious. When I met this family in Guelph – they had their little girl in the stroller. I introduced myself and proceeded to take a peek in the stroller at their little girl. I gasped. Literally. She looked just like a little doll and quite possibly had the biggest and most beautiful brown eyes I had ever seen. She also had the cutest head of hair. And she just started to sit on her own the week previous to our session. Perfect timing! Thanks for a wonderful time together and I look forward to seeing you all again next month for another family session!

wow is she stunning !!! you always get kids with the most amazing eyes!!

Welcome to the new home of One for the Wall photography!

Hello to everyone and WELCOME! So how do you like the new diggs??? I must say it’s quite comfy here.  The comment section is much friendlier to use than the previous blog so you can let me know what you think!
I am forever thankful to my “little blog that could” over on blogspot. It saw me through the first year and almost 80 blog posts.  Thanks to my loyal blog readers for hanging out over there with me. Sniff Sniff. If you ever feel like a trip down memory lane you can still visit it at

I write this post – empty popcorn bowl beside me – with quite frankly the biggest headache I might have ever had. This blog has taken me the better part of 4 days to put together. I am convinced the technical side of my brain did not develop properly in the womb. I have been in my own personal nightmare trying to figure out how this all works. But things are looking up my friends – I was able to shower today.
It will take me a few weeks to tweak the final colours and links and all that fancy stuff but for now we are home everyone! Year two has begun and it promises to be an eventful year! I am looking forward to sharing all of the exciting developments throughout 2010 both personally and professionally in my life.

Bookings for all of 2010 have started this week. I am taking 2 families per week this year for a number of reasons. I would like to focus more on the details of the shoot with each family and spend more time learning some advanced editing for the images. But most importantly – I am striving for better balance between a blossoming business and my wonderful family. My girls are growing up before my eyes. All it takes is a black marker and a trip to the wooden growth charts every two months to see how fast the time is going.

I have yet to blog the fall families of 2009 but I thought I would kick off the new blog with the last kiddies shoot of 2009. This beautiful family are relatives of the most warm and caring next door neighbour anyone could ever ask for. These are her cousins from Switzerland. I was most surprised and thrilled when they knocked on my door and asked to do a shoot while they were here (we will have to catch dad on the next visit back!).  Enjoy the pictures on your walls in Switzerland!

Great new blog! I might have to consider moving over to this format!

Congrats Hilary! You have come so far in such a short time, looking forward to the years ahead!
