Happy New Year to everyone!
I am still here! What a fall! I can barely believe that I made it through. I am enjoying the quieter pace of the winter season and wearing my pj’s until noon. Most of all, I have loved the extra time with our girls. We have been out in the evenings walking our dog in the snow, shovelling the laneway together and lingering over homework instead of rushing through. I remember thinking this time last year that I had so much time to chill out. What I learned is that it isn’t that much time! It will be April before we know it and I will be writing to you about the beginning of the spring portrait session…and so another year in the life passes. Sounds kind of depressing doesn’t it?
Let’s talk 2011! Year 3. New website. Blog re-face. New logo. More courses. Most importantly….more amazing kiddies, babies and families to be photographed! Looking forward to having you along for the journey….
Reality is – I am so far behind in blogging that it would take me about 200 hours to catch up. I am hoping to blog as much as I can through the next couple of months. I have so much I would like to share with you! I will do my best:)
Days like we had for this shoot make me smile. Warm fall sun, rich colours, no coats! Kelly Gemmell and I had an incredible day with these wonderful new parents. There was so much joy and happiness (a few tears too) at this session. They finally had a daughter! This is one very fortunate little girl to have these amazing men as her parents. Little princess she will be! I wish you nothing but happiness and love for years to come. Thank you to your family for choosing me to photograph her homecoming! Memories treasured.
A big thanks to my dear friend, Kelly Gemmell. I have enjoyed working with you so much in 2010 and look forward to our baby shoots for 2011! FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS - There are still a couple of spaces in Kelly’s newborn posing course this winter. Please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org for details. Hope to see you there!
